Marsabit Botanical Garden (MBG) was started by Galgallo Roba who is young Environmental conservationist from Marsabit county, Northern Kenya.

He was motivated to start botanical garden in order to achieve his desire to conserve environment and introduce new ways of conserving plants among the indigenous and pastoralist community of Northern Kenya.Marsabit botanical garden is first and one of its kind to be established in Northern kenya.

The garden was started on 5 hectares of land and it is situated in Dirib Gombo 4km from Marsabit National Park and 13km from Marsabit town.

MBG called Marsabit Botanical Garden, which is the first and one of its kind Botanical Garden in Northern Kenya among Indigenous people. Marsabit Botanical Garden has different species of indigenous trees,flowers,shrubs,medicinal herbs,grasses and desert plants.
